Bard’s Inn, Ashland, Oregon. Ashland is the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which provided us the costume for this portrait. The head is based on the famous portrait in the National Gallery, London.

Based on J.M.W. Turner: “The Tenth Plague of Egypt,” 1802. One of a series of 7 paintings entitled Vegas Vanitas, in which we conflated old master paintings with images of Vegas. The technique here is strictly traditional.

Colorado Belle Hotel and Casino, Laughlin, NV. The architecture of the hotel is based on a Mississippi river boat. Our murals for the lobby were based on photos of actual paddle wheelers that transported gold from local mines downriver and brought coal and supplies back.
